Thanks everyone.Well I had a small setback when I was tightening up the header the lower exhaust stud on the #3 cylinder it broke a piece of the fin with the stud. Did a little welding, drilled and taped the new hole. I put in a stud and it was good to go.
I put it back together last weekend. I stayed home with my sick son today so I was able to give it a try. It still needs some tuning and the charging checked out along with a couple of other things but it runs OK and goes through the gears fine.
Even though I only went up and down the street a couple of times it sure felt GREAT riding it again.
I should have everything sorted out by the time I get the tags and insurance.

Good for you Mark! Glad to see you back on the road. Tell me (for my info) how did it feel? I'll ride again but wondering what it will feel like?

I was a little nervous knowing it was about to finely happen but once I got on the bike I felt like it was just a few days off the bike. Since nothing in the motor was new and didn't need to be broken in I even did a couple of nice burn outs. The motor feels nice and strong so after some tuning it will be back to it's old self. I'm really looking forward to going on a real ride.

Well I went on my first short ride today. HAD A BLAST. I took a short ride through Carbon Canyon and I need to stiffen up the back a little and then went to the Kawi dealer and ordered a pair of fork seals. Being the first ride I took it easy but it seems to feel real neutral through the turns.

Well guys here's a report on how it all works. Well it works great! I have to thank R4 again for the bottom end he gave cause the motor is still together. I had parts to put my motor together and did but being miss matched parts I spun a rod bearing two different times but it's running good now, I could use some rings for my old Yoshimura pistons. The suspension works great, riding next to other bikes of the same age it socks up the bumps way better ad it handles the turns great. I've run through Santiago canyon a few times and she goes through the turns great. I tipped it over and put a small dent in my green tank. I guess I don't have pix with the green parts on but I have some with my oldest paint job [ 15+ years ] on it. The blue and white set's on it now.

Clean rebuild as always Mark.
It's been a long time and glad to hear your getting it sorted out again.
Strange our mishaps happened around the same time and coming back roughly 4 years after...
Although your's was sooooo much worse than mine.
