get a trailer wiring adaptor from autozone then the turn will work with the brake too. ill have to check mine to see the part number. and youll need an electronic flasher relay. it works beautiful on mine

I was kind of thinking (and dang it if that didn't hurt my head!:pinch:...lol!) along the same lines, especially since I recently installed one on my Trooper.

I bought an identical tail light for my 650 that Mark has for his 650, and would love to be able to integrate the rear signals rather than run a set of signals that look like curb feelers. :S

Part numbers man! We need part numbers! :woohoo:

That sounds cool, I'll have to check it out. I'll still have the front blinkers and the way I did it only cost $2.

you need the el12 because the original wont flash with one bulb lit. the trailer adaptor makes the tail turn off when the front turns on

It's from a ZX6, somewhere around a '92 year model IIRC.
And it fits so perfect under the tail section, that you'd swear Kawi intended it to be there in the first place! B)

Well I still wanted to use my kick starter with the rear sets I'm using on my bike. The kick starter was going to hit the foot pad on the rear brake. So I cut it off and shortened the arm about 3/8 of an inch then drilled and taped it. I also welded a bolt through the center of the pad so now I can unscrew it for clearance.

Hey, thanks for the tip! I haven't used my kickstarter since the rearsets have been put on. I do get about 75% travel though, and should try to kick start her.

I see that you run velocity stacks on your bike. Do you worry about dusting the motor? Ive been thinking of machining some for my bike. but I've been worried about my motor? I'm thinking of maby adding some fine scotch brite for an air filter in the throat?

Not a bit. I've run open stacks since about 1982/83, I've freshened it up a couple of times over all those years and have not seen any ill effects. I do change the oil a lot.

I think I'll make some;) Bronze velocity stacks would look killer on my bike. Cant decide if I should machine them from solid or cast them?
