Can you give us some details about the electrical and charging system?

What is under that custom generator cover?

Is there a battery hiding somewhere under the seat or tail?

The minimal electrics are hidden under the seat .
Basically a battery, reg/rec, starter solenoid and a 30 amp toggle switch for power on/off.

And the generator is an 25 amp GPZ1100 Electrex race item that i've modified to work with the smaller Z900 small taper keyway crank .
It uses the same windings as the alt i used on the alloy cafe racer in this pic but is enclosed and allow the use of the starter motor.

Really nice work, I like the "gas strut" to hold the seat up

No! Not going racing it's just for fun.
Lots of twisty roads here in the uk and i like to make the most of them.
The bike is for dry days only and for daytime use the minimum you need is a constant sounding horn.
No lights or anything else required so why not take advantage of that and build as close to a race rep as you can.
I have fitted a brake light though for when i'm in traffic .

    Isn't a "brake light" a minimum legal requirement ? - looks like "every day's a school day"
