Forgot to mention you would need a 5 pin relay if you go down the oil switch route

Think I was over simplifying the oil switch control of the ignition, having thought about it as far as I can see you would need one 4 and one 5 pin relay. This would then protect the coils if the ignition was on without the engine running and would also kill the ignition if you lost oil pressure whilst running and save engine damage

Thanks. The only thing that might be a problem is the extra cranking of the starter while oil pressure builds up. Although it shouldn't be an issue if everything is running as it should be. I've run out of room for anything more under the seat
so I'll be trying to find somewhere to hide the mo.relay for the ignition... hoping to avoid putting it in the tail section. That means a second relay is pretty much out of the question and I'd have to go for the accent igntiion if I want to safegaurd the coils from my absent mindedness.

First day back on the wiring. Got the ignition relay done (the mini motogadget relay with an extra fuse). Got the crankcase breather connected up - there wil be a catch can under the tail. Also connected up the oil cooler hoses. Have left enough room to move the oil cooler out a bit but I need to shorten the lines slightly so they run closer to the engine.

Got the front brake reservoir mounted today. Need a different bolt for the bracket (just used a banjo bolt with a load of washers to get the position sorted). Also shortened the oil cooler lines so they sit a bit closer to the engine. Ordered a 135° fitting for the rear to take the kink out of the hose. After that I started sorting out the wiring for the rear indicators - will get them fitted tomorrow and post some pics.
Am I right in assuming the order of the oil cooler fittings doesn't matter? I just assumed coolers aren't directional as it seemed logical, but I've been bitten on the a*** a couple of times by assuming things.
Also, as far as I can tell the oil passes through the filter before it goes to the cooler. Meaning I need to make sure those lines are absolutely spotless. Is this right?

You are right, the oil passes through the filter before it goes to cooler.
The cooler it self should be internal clean and sealed with end plugs when sold.

Thanks guys
Checked the current through the coils today. Around 3.4A per coil so all good. Forgot to test the relay though! It's rated to 20A so should be fine.
Got the rear indicators hooked up and made some washers for the heel guard (mounting holes were too big - 10mm). I'll get some low profile M6 allen bolts to replace the ones in there now - they should only stick out about 1mm. While installing the heel guard I finally got around to trying out the adapter plate for the rear master cylinder.
Indicators:
Adapter plater for the master cylinder:
Heel guard:
The washers were a bit too big and stuck out over the guard so I put them back in the lathe:

Got the front fender tacked up today. Think I'll take it to a local guy to finish welding the spacers on - that way I know it will still be roughy the same shape when it's done.

Back into things this weekend. Got the 750 back on the road (leaking fuel tee) so anything after that was a bonus.
Got onto the lathe and made a fitting for the fuel tank vent. I had been trying to figure out how to plug the hole in the steering stem after shifting from a bolt to a nut. This fills the gap nicely. I still need to put some holes in the side (black marker dots) but I'm waiting for a fitting to mount the dremel on the lathe.
I shortened the torque bar for the rear brake and mounted the speedo sensor to the caliper:
Took a couple of mm off the steering stem nut so it fits in the cutout on the top yoke:
Put the rear fender on to see where I need to cut it - do I really need to cut it? That 50's fender fits perfectly Serioulsy though, I'll be cutting it at the mark behind the shocks.
Finally, I got the oil cooler fitting swapped out and measured up all the brake lines. Will be ordering them shortly.
