1980 Kz 750 e engine questins was created by Kz750equad
So this is what I have going on right now I took the engine off a 1980 kz750e and put it on my 2003 kfx 400 and have a few questions
First question the two breather tubes on the top of the engine what can I all do them can I seal them off witch would be my number one choice cause I do nothing but ride in sand
Second question the breather that went to the bottom of the air box how do I properly plug that off or put a filter on it I wanna run pod filters
3rd question what jets should I run when I run pod filters I will be putting a custom made 4 into one exhaust going to a two brothers can
Fourth question how big of a nitrous shot can I put to this engine or is nitrous down right to much for the stock guts of the engine

1] plug them
3] they make jet kits
4] the engine has cast pistons, I wouldn't unless it has an aftermarket big bore kit with lower compression pistons
pics?

Do you know a good starting point for the jets I am completely new to this. And I have the top two vents plugged off already I just don't have the bottom one under the carbs plugged yet

The lower tube is a crankcase vent. Keep it open. Running it into a catch bottle or sticking a small filter on is the standard procedure for what to do with that when running pods.
No clue on jetting, that's why a jet kit was suggested. Dynojet makes the best because they come with new needles which affects the midrange.
If you haven't adjusted the valves on that engine you should do that before running it. The valves tighten with mileage and you will toast that engine straight away in the environment you plan to run if the valves are overly tight. I'd run some good synthetic oil in that thing too. Rotella synthetic is the best of the cheaper oils appropriate for that extreme environment.
Good luck and get some mufflers

DynoJet has a kit for the KZ750E/H. A good jet kit is more than just the jets. They also include the needle a instructions,
As for the vent just clamp on a small filter.

And get rid of those filters[?].
Get some UNIs or K&Ns. The cheap ones restrict the air flow the air passages in the carb ventri

KZ750 Jetting for PODs and 4 into 1:
Slow pilot jet #35
Primary main jet #70
Secondary main jet #140
Dynojet kit is another option.
As Nebr_Rex said, get UNIs or K&Ns. Or at least cut the rubber that blocks de air jet and diaphragm vent at the intake.

I'd bet you will get more than 15hp by properly sorting the carbs and installing proper exhaust.

That's what size of valve I have on the kit right now I can get bigger I just don't wanna grenade that motor I know there's no really safe amount to shoot I just wanna know if anyone had shot nitrous threw it and what size they shot I don't wanna over do it.
