So I took those measurements. + lead hooked to coil, tester to coil, tester to - lead. both poles, both sides. All stayed constant 11.68V. No spark when cranking.

Well, Spark is back. Short video of a big back fire. I also has some physical fire in the air box. Either varnish or something. Nothing to bad. Anxiety provoking tho' :ohmy: I have had this kinda backfire on KZs when the advancer is 180 degrees off. Will be checking, R

Will check that. I am color blind so it is very possible. That backfire was large. I will also say just to hopefully help someone else. I must cop to the rookiest of all mistakes. I had the battery hooked up backward. Hopefully I did not fry the rectifier during the few short episodes. It was a dead short of my own making. I usually don't make these kind of mistakes. Glad I found it. Thanks for the help a long the way. R

Well, no full start some sputter, back fires and a bit of flames in the air box.
I pulled the carbs and did have some residue and two stuck balls in the check valves. More cleaning. But I do have spark now. Would a burnt reg/rec cause inoperability or just charging issues?

Success!!! The beast is alive. Several PO fubars. No o ring s on oil plug and drain. Cams installed from left side more epoxy. Sheesh some people's kids. I have some video I will put up. More to do
