I started riding last summer. Bought an old KZ440 to learn on and once it got cold and it was time to put it up for the winter I decided to try my hand at motorcycle modification. Since this is my first build I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions.
Here is what I started with (draining the oil to get ready to bring it inside)
Getting ready to make the seat pan out of fiberglass.
This is what it looked like when I was done. Still needs some sanding and cleaning.
Here it is totally stripped down.
Mock-up of my electrical tray. It sits just under the seat pan, completely out of sight.
My gas tank. Pretty excited with how it turned out considering it was my first time. Admittedly I have a friend who paints cars professionally that let me use his space and equipment. He is advice was even more important.
And the frame.
I'm hoping by the end of this weekend I will have a roller. The parts have already started trickling in (clip-ons, grips, taillight, speedo, etc.)
Still to come:
Putting in Mikuni carbs and pod filters which means re-jetting.
Installing a 2-into-1 collector and getting a new slip-on.
Construct a new wiring harness.
Cover the seat pan (may end up paying someone to do this. I'm not very useful with a needle).
I am also installing an RFID reader so I can go keyless. Here is the planned wiring harness with RFID included.
Thanks for reading everyone. Let me know what you think.

Gypsy Road and larriken:
Thanks! I'm pretty proud of it. It was definitely the part of the build I was the most worried about.
swest:
Below I have a picture of my motor mounts with an annotated picture of my frame showing where they attach. I the same for the engine if you need.

Thanks, I was asking for another member who seemed to have been sold the wrong ones.
