I been systematically getting ready for spring.. man i wish it would come on..
Rebuilt front calipers,, new front MC new pads front and rear . of course flushed the lines.
A few electrical issues here and there that are now behind me..
I took the tank to a paint shop before Christmas and still dont have it
I pulled the carbs at the same time and took em to a friend i who had some of the missing parts. Thanks Mark.
And we went up a size on the mains. currently im running 17.5 pilot and 117.5 mains.
I decided yesterday to rig a remote tank so i could work out any bugs before i get my tank back and im glad i did.
first thing ..the tee was pouring fuel..and the floats were not set well.
so off they came and since i been fooling with a spare set with a loose tee i was ready. had one soaking in thinner and swapped it out now its nice and snug. And i found one on ebay that is the right size with o-rings so its ordered ..
then i clear tube set all my floats..took some time but worth it.
had to mess with the accelerator pump a little to get it to spray right but its shooting very nice sprays now.
you have to prime em.
bench synced and slapped em on.
It ran ok before but now!! wow! very smooth and the throttle respond is awesome ..crisp snappy . just like i remember the one i had in 85'.
im sure ill have to tune a little more when i ride it but im very close. come on spring!!
sorry for the long post . not really lol
