I like the Z1 flavor though.

I'm still wondering how that frame is going to work with no tubes under the motor placing the load on the motor itself. I love the overall idea though of the Z1 look with the ZRX motor. I always wished they'd built the ZRX to look like the Z1 and early KZ bikes as opposed to the look of the later European J models and the ELR.

I have no intention of adding a lower frame brace.....please see previous posts for information on the frame design and if it causes you that much stress to see a bike without a lower frame rail, call a priest.

I hear that Umaku! I ride a '74 h2 with a rear mono-shock suspension that a few would describe as a 'rolling accident waiting to happen'. It's not. The last 5 seasons have proven that.

This is # K0001, the first frame I built for Lester Wheels in 79. I think it won Nelson Ledges 24 hr that year. Kenny Mallison was the crew chief.

All frames after K0001 had a bent backbone instead of the mitered one.

These pics and comments are from an old thread here in the "Project" section.
Other than the backbone, not super substantial. But it survived as an endurance racer for a number of seasons so I guess it works.

Ya... I'd say that a S2 is truly smokin' at 120mph.
My h2 has stock internals with pipes and is jetted for velocity stacks as well. No 'real' go fast mods. The suspension and running gear is off a FZ600. The upper rear mount is a simple 2 piece 'L' bracket unit made out of aluminum. It works on the street and the track. I'm quite satisfied with it.
My fabricator/mechanic convinced me it would work. I was a little nervous, but after a couple of very careful test rides, I've never given the set-up a second thought. We check it for signs of stress every season. No issues in 5 plus seasons.
