I finally picked up a new project to work, been looking for another KZ and couldn't pass up the deal on it. Will have extra parts if anybody is interested before I post it on Ebay. The bike was a full dresser with all the accessories and is not my cup of tea.

This is my attempt at photoshop on what I want to do.

More progress on the bike did leak down test and all cylinders less than 10% (cold) that is really good. Here are some progress photos.

Frame prepped for hoop

Engine

Parts are slowly coming in, experimenting with indicator panel, and metal for seat pan & battery box

More progress pics, I have figured out rear sets. Took a shoot in the dark by buying some r6 rear sets for cheap off Ebay.

A piece of flat plate (will shape to match existing) and an extra bolt. Almost fits perfectly, even existing bolts from R6 rearsets thread into existing threaded hole. Won't know until its back together whether I will have any clearance issues.

im likeing your photoshop projection. One things for sure without all that junk on the bike will be a better ride. Keep us posted

More progress on bike, welded loop on and welds cleaned up.

Engine cleaned up and painted, still need to shine up covers

Seat pan built and bent

Indicator panel built

New 12 Cell battery, still brainstorming on how to attach to engine

Nice project. in this photo it looks like the brake pedal is angled up quite high. I'm not sure what kind of adjustability you have on that, but you may need to revisit it. All the rearsets i have ever ridden the brake pedal is below the foot peg quite a bit. Keep up the progress.

Ya I agree I have been looking at and scratching my head, whether I rotate the whole assembly with a bracket or see if I can rotate/bend the lever somehow

I'm not sure how it's set up, but maybe you could lower the pedal by moving or adjusting the master cylinder? In any case, looking good!

Before you go any further, check to see on the shifter (left side) if you have clearance with the kickstand up. Sometimes we over look the obvious.

I think I will be alright as the linkage comes off from the top of the rearset, but plan to get all mocked up before I start messing with them.

I'm interested to know how you made the loop for the back. I've got a bike that I will be welding the same exact thing on. Did you bend it yourself or buy it?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI bought it from a guy on Ebay that was willling to bend it to the correct width, and as you can see fit pretty nicely.

Match industries is the name of the company.
