Update:
Carbs and hand controls done. I am considering buying a new exhaust. Does any one have a recommendation? Here are the latest pictures. I have to paint the tank still and im going to redo the graphics as they were originally. I would do vinyl or stickers if I could find them anywhere. Anyway, almost done.

Can anybody recommend an exhaust. I would not be too concerned if it was single sided.

Your choices are limited. There's MAC and MAC as near as I can tell. The Delkevic, which I had on my 650 was nice but no 550 headers yet? Heard this may be a possibility in the future. You can find used factory and 4-1 - a Muzzy and a Kerker I believe but likely all will need work to refinish, BTW nice build here, that's a great looking LTD. I like my 550A. R

This is from a year ago, but you might be able to find somebody importing one or more of these European systems. I know the thread is about the 750E, but I have read that Marving made a 550 system, so maybe the others did or do too.

Ok, I picked up the MAC 4 to 1 exhaust. It looks fine to me. I have the original if anyone is interested. It would be nice to see it go to use.

I have everything done except the tank and a couple of minor little things. I should have painted it myself. I just figured I had enough to do. Now over a year later im still waiting for the tank. Lesson: dont ever tell anyone not to rush because they always wait until the last minute if you say that.

Yes I did get it back. It was just barely acceptable. So I put it on the shelf. It got rust bubbles in it just sitting in my shop. So I gave it back to my buddy (who I paid) and he did it over. Again, it was very poorly done. It had lots of dust in it and even a hair! Lol wtf. So I brought it to lou's custom paint in old saybrook ct. He did awesome on it. Should have went there to begin with. We picked out the colors and he did the whole job for a reasonable price.

Thank you everybody for all your help. I am just about done- the bike runs but I had to start it by jumping the starter solenoid with a screwdriver. The solenoid makes a clicking noise and I can feel something happening inside. Any ideas?? Last time I have been on this thread was a while ago and I can't see the pictures anymore so here is a picture of the bike- its a little dirty since I have not been working on it for so long. Any help with the solenoid would be appreciated.
Thanks
