I was thinking that too. Unless it will be outside all the time, it shouldn't be a problem.

Ok. I couldnt live with the idea of a non waterproof tank cap. (Here in Holland its known to rain now and then). I sent the cap back and ordered a non vented model with a seperate vent valve which screws into one of the mounting bolt holes. I can run a hose from that to somewhere up by the front end. That should give me waterproofed venting.
I made a list yesterday of the things left to do.Its not a big list but theres enough on it to know that im not going to be on the road before the end of the summer. Fair enough.
It gave me a bit of a kick up the arse though ,so I spent today in the workshop. I had planned to make a new bat-box out of alu plate, but after a couple of failed attempts last week,I decided to stick with the original box and just modify it.This saves a lot of messing around.I had to fiddle a bit with the undertray to get the box to fit,so thats done and off the list.I bought a new 'blade' type fuse box, which I want to fit,so I still need to wire that in.
Thats about it for now.Nothing very exciting so no photos.
Nothing to see here.Move along now.

Thanks, that is really cool.

I don't see a price anywhere. What did it run you?

I'm really looking forward to seeing pics of your install

The original 'vented' model I bought was GBP105. (with VAT and postage) I sent that back and ordered the unvented modelwith the valve but they just charged me the same to make things easier. Ill post some pictures when I get it.(This one willl be in silver as they didnt have any black models).
Im also looking forward to seeing photos of it installed.Itll mean some real progress and another thing off the list!!
If youre interested in anything from the site, just give them a ring or email,I dont think the vented model is even on the website.

Here we go. The seat cover . Finished and fitted!!

Built by the fair hands of a Catalan Princess. ( except the front panel, which she couldnt figure out,so, I took it to a local seat covererer and he finished it off)
Not too shabby for a first attempt eh?
And one more step forward.

Tis comfy indeed and it also makes the position of the rearsets feel a bit more normal. Blind luck on that one to be honest!!

Yup,Im glad its done. Next thing is the flush fitting fuel cap. In the post. Waiting waiting. Still got to finalize the electrics, then once the fuel cap is sorted , I can jump into the painting. Tailpiece and f/mudguard are already in primer, though I still havent decided on colours yet.
