I picked up the caliper mounts from the machinst. He made them out of 7050, an alloy I had never heard of before. He showed me a coil chip left over from machining, and man it is tough stuff! I need to get some appropriate hardware to mount them. I also had him machine a and knurl some parts for a stainless kickstand. I will finalize the foot of the kickstand once i have a rolling chassis. I painted the frame, but in order to get paint way up by the head stock gussets I had to use a brush and got some drips. I need to sand them down and throw another coat of paint on and this thing can start going back together

I have seen people putting clay in the cylinders to measure the clearance between the pistons and the head. is this necessary for 1075 pistons? the manual makes no mention of it.

i never use ring compressors on kz piston installs.
and it's a pain in the a$$ every time.
sure is nice when it's done tho !
