Thought that you might have run out of dollars or got yourself another hobby like gardening or diy

Just wondering what your doubts are about the true mileage of the 750. Pictures look pretty good, carbs have leaked a bit and it has non standard exhaust- people sometimes change exhausts just because they can and maybe prefer a 4 into 1 or maybe because the original has rusted out?
As you can see Geoff you outed me....I got out of bikes and took up gardening  When I read that I laughed like crazy as you can see from the pic of my front yard that ain't likely to happen...I suppose I do need to fire up the weed whacker soon though.
I got up this morning and hooked a jump battery to the bike and fired it up the engine sounds good, nice and tight no bad noises the exhaust system sounds like shit though tinny and cheap sounding. I guess I'm just too used to hearing a Kerker when it comes to a 4 into 1. I have both a stock system as well as a Kerker here that will fit, don't know which I'll use. I'm sure the witch that lives next door loved hearing it at 8:30 this morning but screw her, there isn't much she can do about it. She has tried calling the cops several times in the past to complain. They show up, we BS a little, they apologize and say they have to come out when they get a call. I tell them no worries and they go away.
After looking at the bike some more I'm a bit more inclined to believe the mileage is accurate the bike has just not been cared for very well and what work that has been done was done by an idiot. The carbs have been cleaned at some point but carbs on #1 and #2 are puking gas out the overflows a little. The genius that worked on it plugged the tubes as a fix. I need to change out the handlebars before I can take it for a ride since they are bent in 2 different directions. I didn't get a title with the bike due to the death of the guy who owned it prior to the guy I bought it from but I do have a titled frame here so I will just swap the frame, easier to do than to go through the hassle of getting a title through a service.
The parts I ordered from Z-1 Ent. for the KZ1000 showed up today so on Monday I'm going to get the carbs cleaned and back together. Thanks Z-1 Ent. for the usual excellent service.
And Ed that is just a stock LTD 1000 seat on the bike.

This morning I installed the newly cleaned carbs and after sorting out a problem with the kill switch the KZ1000 is running pretty well. I rode it a couple of miles and even with the open carbs it runs pretty well. Once I get around to installing the airbox hoses it should really run well. The exhaust system though rusty and ugly doesn't sound too bad and by that I mean it's not terribly loud. I'm fighting the urge to put the brand new Star Racing sidewinder exhaust on it. Maybe over the winter I will. I did swap the seat with the one from my 79 LTD 1000 so that looks much better. I think what I'm going to do is rob the front fork tubes, Dual disk brake system and front wheel as well as the rear mag wheel from the 79 LTD also. I already have all that stuff cleaned and polished so it will make this bike look 100% better with little effort on my part. I'm also thinking about robbing a set of the 500 Vulcan rear shocks from one of my 650's between the shorter shocks and the 16" LTD wheel it should give this bike a nice lower stance.
I changed out the handlebars on the 750 LTD the other day and took it for a short ride It runs reasonably well but the front end is tweaked. When I do the frame swap I'll just use the other front end I have here it should work out just fine. All in all considering I've had both bikes less than a week I've been making some pretty good progress and haven't had to spend a ton of money....always a good thing.
