Yep, did a frame-up on my 83 GPZ550 too. Over the course of several years and being a little AR about it, this is the result. The origional exhaust has now been replaced with a MAC system (only thing I could find). It's a sweet ride and turns heads.

some updates on the rebuild...
parts are back from powdercoating...WOW!!
what a difference, It's unreal!!
I went with a satin finish, so just a little shiny I LOVE the way it turned out!
frame
misc parts:
I was able to get a matching pair of side covers, which wasn't easy!!
ended up forking $100 for them
so, I removed the decals and got them primed and painted already
(pictures of finished product to come soon!)
I used my blow dryer and a utility knife, which worked good but I had to get rid of the glue residue and them do some light sanding but they turned out really good.
last night, we "RE" sandblast 1 wheel where we had done the shadow chrome paint...didn't care for it so now they are going white.
both wheels are now primed and ready to be painting tonight.
the exhaust also got sandblasted last night and painted it flat black, ready to be wrapped.
I will post pics of the latest work later on
