Steering stop.
Best crank the ride height adjusters down to max if you're not going to run the forks flush with the top tree Joe.
Get a 1000 LTD 78 - 80 model, head light mount bracket. It will bolt right up to the top tree using those 2 6mm bolt holes. Clean, simple....

thanks Larry. i just pmed you about the stops. i was ganna grind the lower triple stops a lil to get more radius. lemme know. also, i am missing one of the steering nuts with the notches in it. (not sure of the name). anyway i believe i have the upper nut, and need to find a lower one. (anyone got a extra out there)? so once i get the nut, the triples will sit a lil closer to flush. but anyway, lemme know about the stops, thanks.Getting closer

I gave up some turning radius. At first it seemed like a lot but after putting miles on the bike, I don't even notice it anymore. Only affects you when turning the bike around in the garage...
In situations like that, just lean it over to the left, rip the revs up to 7k and let the clutch fly.... she'll spin right around for ya.... :woohoo: .... KIDDING... don't really do that

It's just a piece of 1/8" plate welded to the bottom of the factory stop. I actually set mine to keep clip-ons off the tank if I decided to go that route. If you plan on running bars you can get away with more turning radius. You just need to keep the fork tubes off the tank. As Larry says, I lost some garage steering only. It makes no difference on the road. Your steering inputs are very small when the bike is rolling.
