So had to re-order fork seals after I got them apart last week. The new ones came in today!
So now I decided to refer to the manual for oil quantity and levels for the forks...
Now comes my next newby question... Why is the left fork oil level lower than the right fork??? From my disasembly I could see no differance between the two forks inside or out. Am I miss understanding something?
It says "left fork 120 +/- 2mm, right fork 149 +/- 2mm"
Never heard of that either. Look at those fork legs Jim. I don't remember any of the KZ forks having lower tubes like that...

I have come to the conclusion that I have no idea how to measure this accurately the way I'm doing it. Anyone out there have a method I can try?

Line of sight along top of chain from rear sprocket to countershaft sprocket should show a straight chain with no jog leaving rear sprocket or mounting c/s sprocket.
Could use string pulled toward front from around rear tire to show directional parallels to sides of front tire when the front end is supposedly centered. (See following post.)

But because of the delay, he gave me something else to do. He told me to strip down one of my helmets and we would match it to the bike.
Been a little preoccupied anyway...
