I might just have to head up to Oklahoma someday to help you out with that Jack. In a coulple of years my kids will be in that tween stage, and they will be happy to get rid of Dad for a while. Heck, I'll probably raise the IQ of two states. Sorry, I had to.

haha,thats funny  !
you are welcome up here anytime, lord knows over the years we have givin many a loudmouthed texan a nice little reprieve from that wasteland ya'll inhabit down there.
i am sure the kids would enjoy a little vacation from dad too.
we have some pretty cool roads to ride although you may want to bring something with plenty of suspension cause our roads suck.there is construction everywhere so maybe there is hope.

Leon,
Not to detract from your brilliant-ass luggage rack (who knew THAT could be made sexy!); but the Z1R grab handle was a factory correction of sorts. Since they made the bike with an 18" on the front it made the bike just a tad lower than the other Zs and therefore when you went to put the big girl up on the center stand it took a "man" to get it done. They didn't figure it out until late in the production game so to assist, the little engineers made the grab-handle to give the owner something to really hang on to when giving the heave-ho to get the pig up on the center-stand. I guess it was cheaper to add the meat to the frame and tap it than to re-tool the center stand to work with the exhaust and actually be functional...who knew. But, this is the reason for the left-side-only grab-handle.
As all stock Z1R owners know...doing the center-stand-shuffle is a true test of testicular fortitude.

Dude, Eureka Springs!!!? No way! I make the trip almost every year! And I've got a buddy in Fayetteville! I have a connection at a hotel down there, he lets us stay on the bottom floor, gives us old pillow cases and access to the hose to clean our bikes with. Love it down there. Did you ride the Pig Trail?...you must have. Hope you took pics to share! Congrats on 10 years! We are closing in on 9.

Brother, I almost don't know where to start. Guess I'll just hit the high points: As you know I'm a bit spartan in my 'school time' postings for obvious reasons; towards the end of the semester the computer crashed (huge event as the wife has a part-time gig via the computer, and I can do some of my work from home on it) and the compu-geeks said that what happened to it was the equivalent of an earthquake inside the hard-drive...funny...not then a tornado broke three of my trees and dropped one on my house (hole in the roof), same tornado pulled my privacy fence out of the ground and laid it down in the back yard (convenient, actually), hurt my elbow, had knee surgery, and am now in the middle of: foundation-work on the house (a blessing that the tornado made possible...no kidding! ), insulating-wiring-walling the garage, and fixing the rear brake on the GPz750...there's more, but it's all trivial, ...relatively.
Probably won't make time for a bike-trip this year...but who knows.
:S
That's all...what about you?
But seriously, it's all working out just fine...GOD loves me!
