I laid bike down on its right side and separate motor from frame since i did not have no helping hand.Well I roll it to the spot and laid it down with wheels on but it was hard to move frame around to lift off clear from bottom of motor. I took wheels off and frame came right out. I did took center motor mount off and slightly loosen all other nuts and bolts on right side before I laid the bike down.
Now I got it disassembled except swing arm. Took lock nut off and can't get the shaft to come out. Manual says "Unscrew the nut, pull out the swing arm pivot shaft and drop out the swing arm." Is there anything else missing?

I hit it with hammer pretty hard and all it moved was about 1/16". I will put frame on the side and spray some penetration oil on to see what's gonna happen.

But I digress, on a serious note, I'm with Mark Wing. Lube it up and hit it with a BFH. Plan on replacing those swingarm bearings. Good idea on engine removal. Sure beats wrestling with the bear.

Symptoms include, messy garage, angry wife, loss of money, no riding , and too much time spent on KZR. This is like the online support group
You sound like you are standing right here looking at. That's exactly what is like. She keeps saying what did you ordered? She doesn't know there will be lots more to come and never ending.

Now I am ready to take frame, swing arm, center stand and steering stem to get sandblasted and powdercoated in a week or two.

As of now I am thinking to use taper bearing for steering , change to swingarm bearing and electric ignition. Other than that will try to keep stock appearance.

Had frame sandblast and powder coat.
Replaced steering head bearing with tapered bearings and swingarm bearing with needle bearings.
Rebuild front master cylinder and caliper.
New spokes, tube and tire for front. New rim, spokes, tube and tire for rear.
Haven't messed with motor yet.
