Wish I had your patience and talent. Great find and a great resto. Your pictures show what looks like an LTD grab bar on the bike when purchased. Would you be willing to sell the bar? If so I'll leave contact info.

I just picked up a free kz1000 and it's likewise battered but I got it running after some effort. Before I go much further I was REALLY happy to see your series of photos showing what I'd like to do with this one -- how much ballpark did you invest? I was happy to find someone who's done it to get at least an idea, if you want you can pm me to keep it private, my problem is I'm not moving forward because until I read your post I couldn't find anyone who's done it recently -- and I'm afraid of what $$ I'm up against! May just sell it instead if it's too much. THANKS.

If I can get mine looking that good it will be a minor

Well KZ, you ask about how much for the restoration. Thats a subject that makes me cringe. I haven't added up all the recepts, but a quick guess would be around 4K. Bottom line is it's a expensive labor of love.

Yep, I'm estimating that when all is done with my Z2A, the cost will be north of US$5000...and none of that are labor costs as I'm doing it...
