im no expert but im thinking as long as pinch bolts on triple trees are tight it cant really go any place, but it might be a little tough setting preload on steering head bearings!

Well if you look closely you can see the vertical set screw at the front of the stem, Thats to hold the bushing in place, mainly while we pressed in the stem, also there is a screw that goes through the tree, bushing and stem to keep them in place.

that triple tree looks huge with that tiny little stem, kinda like opening the hood on a c60 truck to find a little ol smallblock chevy! nice work!

Actually the stem isn't much different in size than the GSXR stem. They have the same thread for the stem nuts, but the gixxer had the threads in a different spot.

In the next few weeks I may be posting this bike and all my KZ parts up for sale. My ole lady has informed me that she in considering leaving me. Unfortunatly that means I have to move AGAIN. This time I won't be able to drag all my hoards of parts with me. If this goes the way I think it will then I'll be selling pretty much all my motorcyle projects and parts. I just won't be able to afford to move to a place I can keep it all. If I do, it will all go as a lot(just the kz stuff not all the bikes), I won't have time to peice it all out. I'll let you guys know and I'll probably post it on craigslist.

So its been awhile since I could post up, me and the ole lady are still together, but I'm pretty much decided the Kz is up for sale. I won't be able to finish the bike for a very long time so I don't want it to sit here in my garage and have to worry about if I'm gonna have to move it again. Some time in the next week I will get pics of everything and get a price worked up. THIS WILL NOT BE A PART OUT, if someone buys it, they buy it all together. I'll let you guys know real soon. Thanks for all the helpful advice you've all offered.
