plummen, you did a beautiful job with your bracing. I will be using your pics as a guide for bracing my frame if its ok with you. Today i took some posterboard and made templates for my backbone strip braces and the triangle brace down below the side covers. I was just wondering what thickness sheetmetal was used for these?

16-14 gauge is fine.copy anything you want,thats why the pictures are there for anybody who needs ideas.once im done ill finish copying the templates and send them to anybody who wants them to use for making the sheetmetal gussets ,the steering head gussets will be a little differant since my frame is raked.i strongly suggest that anybody wanting to gusset steering head/backbone areas have the frame checked to make sure its straight/have it repaired before gusseting those areas
