I was trying to figure out how to mount my tail light today, i think im going to do a bracket up top mounted of the top loops and fab my light and plate holder. I figured out my headlight problem, it was just a blown fuse. So im going to fix that and mount my tail light and plate holder, and this kawi will be out and about again.

I went ahead and replaced the glass fuses with the blade type ones, that was a very easy mod and works very well, i replace the leaking rubber o-ring float bowl gaskets, i have the battery on trikkle charge now, so tommorow im going to finish mounting the tail light and liscence plate then take it for a ride and fix what it needs when i get back home....lol

I was thinking about my options for a seat, when i remembered i had a but ugly 2 step chopper seat fot my z1, why not use it right? I had to cut a considerable amount off the front of the pan to get it to fit to my liking, and i eliminated the high back were the passenger sits, it looks a ton better that away. Now i have to cut down the padding to make everything fit again, and redo the seat cover......since im on the kick of doing this bike on the cheap, im going to try and reuse the cover.......lets se how that goes...lol Here is a pic of it breifly mounted on the z1......it was so ughly, but had that old school 70's look.....lol

I love your attitude about this bike. This is one of the coolest builds I have ever seen on here.

I got called into work today, i just started as a machinest apprentice about a month and a half ago, so im working all the crappy hours that no one else wants, but i did work 8 hours today @ 20 bucks an hour with time and a half sunday pay, so i cleaned up ok...lol

I really should trust my self more when it comes to wiring. I can do it, but hate doing it. Well i bit the bullit today and redid the wiring, it took me a few hours, but now everything works as it should, wheile i was redoing the wiring i went ahead and did the wiredgeorge coil mod, all i can say about that is it's like a differance between night and day.

thanks, i was going for something cool, but without dropping tons of money. Im in a stumper though, i cant for the life of me figure out why the mufflers hug the inside of the bottom of the bike. the left one especially, it points inward and part of the back of the muffler is under the sprocket. I wonder if something is bent that isnt supposed to me. I will try to post a pic of what im talking about tommorow.
