Remember to put the filters back on there..:woohoo: That's a great picture. If she looks that good now , just wait til you have REALLY worked her over!
I have no filters or airbox yet. The airbox that came with it (uninstalled) is for a Suzuki:laugh:! There's a stock airbox up on ebay right now but I'm not sure if I should go that route or slap some pod filters on her.
I haven't even started any cleaning/polishing yet, that will be last after everything is tuned-up and in proper running condition.
Then I can start the mods!!

I may have an air box from my '79 with rubbers. I'd have to check. Can't remember if I sold it or not.
Hey Rob, definitely get back with me after you check. I'd be wiiling to pay a fair price for it if you still have it!

It is nice to see a few other "Hoosiers" on here....
I wired in a new Fuse box tonight, bought everything at Autozone.
I had to replace about a foot of the original wiring to the two 10amp circuits.
The wire inside the insulation was all corroded.
I also had a problem with the engine cutting out when my fuel was low.
I drained the tank last night and found a little mesh and plastic filter that must have been getting sucked into the petcock and cutting off fuel flow. It doesn;t appear to fit my petcock and I'm putting in an in-line filter tomorrow so all is good!

I installed new points and condensers this week and timed it the best I could without having an airbox on. And I unfroze the rusty, seized timing advancer!! I installed some new rear turn signals I bought of ebay. So much nicer looking than he abused originals that were on there. And I'm not in danger of catching a foot/leg on there and destroying them like I would with the originals. Yesterday I visited a nice bike salvage in Decatur, IN. I scored a complete air box, a nice 78' seat adn some drag bars and grips. I need to find a smaller master cyl. that fits on the new bars and possibly a new shorter clutch cable.
Here are some pics.
