I took some coarse stainless steel wool and bundled it into the baffle with wire. That brought the sound level down so I'm not getting nasty looks from people.

Today I put the 26's on and it idles better. The idle is still a little rough, maybe because of the cams. The previous owner said the cam cover had to be ground for lobe clearance = lumpy cam. I haven't opened up the motor yet so I'm just going by what he said.

The shifting is so nice - anyone wondering about getting your trans undercut, I would say do it if you can afford it.

Glad I was able to help out. If you ever need to put a large order together again let me know.

Here's one of my KZ's .

Still working on the other two. Well, actually all three of them are works in progress.

Oh snap, they're in Anaheim, CA - right down the road from me! I wonder if I could take my Yosh pipe to them to be used as a template?!?!?!?

Motogpworks website: motogpwerks.com/

The guy's name is Chris. Most of his pipes have a can on the end and they cost about $50 more.

If you want a pipe like mine, tell him you want the Yoshi style like he sold to Mike in Hawaii. I'm not sure if he has anymore but maybe he'll whip up a batch.

The bike looks better in the pictures than it does in real life. Only the sidecovers have been painted. The tank has dents and rust, it will be painted along with the tail section sometime in the future...

The pipe was $550 including postage to Hawaii. I think that price is a deal! So nice to have a stainless steel pipe, no sanding off rust and repainting. I only wish it had more of a baffle to quiet the music down. Chris at Motogpworks was up front and told me the pipe only had a race baffle in it.

Here's some more pics:
