Hmmm.

I have to help a friend assemble hi GSXR 1000, that will take two weekends.

Puts us around the first of March. We could bring the bike over and use the bridgeport at work to whittle out some trinkets. I could park the bike next to the bridgeport so we can test fit.

Need to know what kind of damper you plan on using.

Here are pics from the swap of swing arm starting. Had the spacers made almost 2 years ago by a vendor at work. I thought the space was 9.75" and had offset the swing arm to the left to create the clearance for chain. Unfortunately it was 9.25''. I cut it down and faced them up.

I fabbed up the upper shock mount and welded it in. The front end went in with the all balls bearings swap.

Everything has gone smoothly thanks to all the information I have gleaned on this wonderful community.

The triangles are for the pegs and mount but also for the center stand stop on the left side. I see no reason to cut them off. I was concerned about them getting in the way of my new beefier swing arm. They won't in fact they will provide a starting point for my shock mount placement.

I am in the midst of sorting out this very thing on my swing arm swap. I have a 2006 GSXR 600 rear suspension that I am putting in I probably belaboring the linkage to death. The GSXR 600 design has the tension arms attaching to where the center stand ear were. I am wondering what kind of forces this will see and will the thin little ears there withstand the force of the 2 - 12 mm linkages or would I be better off putting new thicker tabs in there?

I plan on welding in the upper shock mount tonight, I will take a picture of what the lower linkage looks like. My back ground is in industrial construction and not used to doing anything with material that is less than 1/4" thick but then again, I am not supporting 40' of 24" pipe either; just my large self...
