King Of The Baggers

Ok, I'm not a huge HD fan, and that's an understatement, but this is an interesting read with a video and pretty cool actually.

06 Mar 2022 16:41Too bad they don't have a two up Bagger class and these two were not 30 or 40 years younger!!!!!
I think even today they'd do just fine.

06 Mar 2022 18:29Well, that Venture has the heart (and guts) of the Vmax so not a slouch by any measure...
Meanwhile, these racing baggers look kinda cool but they always throw me in a weird feeling of alternate reality, I mean it's really just a marketing gimmick pushed to the caricatural extreme... then again, these kinds of "I'm free to be as over-the-top and kitsch as I like, this is Merka" are one of the most fundamental reasons I wanted to move to this blessed land. I'm not even joking. "If you don't like our kind of driving, move off the sidewalk" is one of my favorite David Lee Roth quotes...
Then again, I wish they put some flip-down forward footpegs, just as absurd as the bags at the back, to finish the look...

I love the KOTB, and the Hooligan racing it’s like the AMA golden age, take a street bike hop it up and make it handle and race it. And they are fast as shit, just few seconds off the 600SS class. Those things are making 180hp+! I much prefer vintage racing to anything out there now, something the average joe can relate to, even buy bikes and parts. A hyper bike or super heavyweight BMWS1000RR is crazy expensive, cost prohibitive insurance, and parts. At 1/3rd the of a regular ole new bike I can really rig out my old GPZ1100….and insurance is nothing.

Have you done a track day on your GPZ?
That would be fun.

The closest I've come to bagger racing is doing a bunch of mods to my 94' ZG 1000 Concours so I can keep up with my buddy's FJR 1300 in the corners and up to 100mph on long distance rides.
