have replaced the cylinder sleeves with sleeves from IMD and going to re use the oem pistons.The instructions that came with the IMD sleeves
say to bore so the clearance is .038mm  and measure 8,5mm up from pistonskirt. The kawasaki manual say the clearance should be .060 to .079mm measured 5mm from pistonskirt. I tried to get in contact with imd but no luck so far. maybe the .038mm they recomend is for the IMD pistons ? i  going to reuse the oem pistons and use the sleeves and pistonrings from IMD

Use the wider Kawasaki specs if you are using the Kawa pistons.
Piston material and different expansion rates govern the cold clearance needed and it sounds like the mix of materials in the IMD pistons expands less.
