Here is a pic I took just a few mins ago, the bike is an 86 ZL900~ shadow 4.6 gal tank, .20 over bore stage 3 jet kit. ITS A RUNNER!, the Plane is a 42/44 B24 "Mitchel" HUGE POWER LOTS OF NEAT GUNS, and from what I was told is one of the last if not THE last one flying.

this is a b-25 sitting next to it. also makes for as great back drop for the ZL sorry my KZ is down in need of a starter clutch.

Good pics. That first shot would make a good avitar, but you'd have to photo shop your KZ into the pic. Ha!

I am in Port Angelese ~upper Penninsula~, as for photoshopping in the KZ its down waiting for a starter clutch assy, (old Kawman is sending one as we speak) I gotta say if ya never got a ride on a ZL900 you must! its not near as long legged as the KZ is but nothing like the 100+hp off idle the ZL was/is a 20yr dream bike....IMO every Kawasaki owner owes themselves a ride on a for real ZL900 '85-86

It's a ZL 900 Eliminator, but I'm confused by "Shadow" in your first post. Is the tank off a Shadow?

BTW, great pics. I love those old war birds.

the stock ZL tank only holds 2.5 gals, and at only 33mpg, a bit more is needed, the tank is off of an 861100 honda shadow, basicly a direct bolt on ~It came with the bike~, the seat was shortend apprx 1" and I am not sure but I dont think the pingle is a honda item.

Hey Rick,
Beautiful bike, great back ground!

You ever get East of the Cascades? I'm the Chapter Director of the Cascade Range Riders here in Central Oregon. We're going to have a big Picnic/Rally here near Sunriver over the Labor Day Weekend.

Sure need some more Kaws to keep the Hildas at bay.

Funny! I rode through Port Angeles just yesterday on my way back to the Kitsap Peninsula from Ocean Shores.

Yeah....I know. Very much the long way!...but that ride along the ocean was *beautiful* yesterday. Starting cool and misty, it was bright, warm and clear by afternoon just as I hit the shady curves along the inlet north of Forks.

All kinds of good things in one 6 hour ride.

Oh...and you guys DO know that that "Big Cedar" is dead, right? ;)

Yep! I've done the 101 loop a few times but almost always by myself and unless I'm in that certain kinda mood and I've got some lunch and my EOS....I generally stop for nothing but gas.

This time, (with my counterpart) we left Silverdale, stopped at Ocean Shores to ride on the beach, fly some kites and spent the night before heading on North 101 for the (perhaps unbeknownst to her at the time) much longer second leg.

I think she expected that in 2 hours we'd hit the turn off 101 to the bridge. She had fun though. We stopped for a few hours to walk some nature trails in Quinault, stopped again to see the Big Cedar (or what's left of it) and generally took our time getting home.
