Yes, these are different than later models, mine are ok but worn so I'm wanting to get some fresh ones.

Yes, the double ended type nylon lifter was for the later 217 type carbs. The simple one, which I need, is for the 147 early carbs. They sure made lots of little changes along the way. I think maybe more than the early Honda CB750's
I'm anxious to see how my refurbished plungers work.

I think your plungers are the same as later carb models so the 2170 ones would work in a pinch.  But no sense switching them out if yours still work.  If it's just the yellow colour bothering you that can be fixed.  Try ultra sonic to clean them up and if that isn't good enough then a little soda or bead blasting will do the trick.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Today I got fork oil in, fixed a cold solder on the rear brake switch, filled it with oil and cold cranked it for oil pressure. Very nervous wait for the oil light to go out. It didn’t take long and after it first went out it goes out quickly. I wish I could peek under the valve cover.

In the photo, piece 62 is listed as overflow clamp. It’s a rubber bungee with a round end and an oblong end. Does anyone know how it mounts? The parts book doesn’t really illustrate it location.

It goes around #18 upper rear engine bolt spacer?

this is #17 spacer but for example

Exhaust went on yesterday, fairly smooth. I had the rear axle in backwards, had to swap that so the nut wasn't in the way. Getting closer to test running the engine.

Beautiful work, but those rear shocks have got to go!!!  I know those are on just to hold the bike up at the moment.

The dynamo cover was pretty banged up but I kept it to have some patina to the bike.
