Love to say I have achieved lots lately but......................haven't done very much at all unfortunately. I did start the caliper rebuild over the weekend though. Pulled the front calipers apart and the pistons are corroded and pitted. Had to order two new front ones so the calipers will have to wait until they arrive. The rear was fine so new seals and good clean to get years of unchanged brake fluid out and they are like new. Sort of......Fitted with braided lines and new pads and they should work a heck of lot better at least.

Back brake is all back together, new caliper seals, braided brake line, and refurbed master cylinder. Should work sweet now! Still waiting on the pistons for the front calipers. Ex Japan so I am not holding my breath.

Yes, slack I know but not much has happened over the last few weeks. Finally got a bit of time on the weekend and did a bit more on the motor. New cam chain is in and bottom end is all finished, just need to put the pistons in, barrels on, etc over the next week. Got the glass in the blaster and onto a bit of prep, polishing, and painting too. Slowly but surely!

Very nice. The bead blaster is like magic.
Are you doing the entire engine in black?

Yes, sure am but I have started polishing the covers so it's not a total black out.

That will look awesome with the black bodywork. I was looking at my KZP and wondering what the engine would like in black with the white body....

I love those APE covers. I'm also building my motor, but it's taking longer than anticipated. I will begin posting pics near the end...
Great work by the way!

This is my build:

There are many more like it, but this one is mine... news to come!

Really determined to get the motor together before I grow to many grey hairs. What a mongrel getting the gasket off though!

Finally!!!
