Portable (on board or helmet fixed)-video camera,...any

I'm thinking about maybe buying a portable camera for motorcycling. I'm a complete beginner in this area, though, so I have no idea how best to attach it to my helmet or motorcycle, how to turn it on and off while riding, whether it's compatible with my PC, if I need any special software, etc. And of course, how much such equipment costs. I'd like to film a few of my rides... Can you recommend anything? Thanks!

Any suggestions / recommendations, maybe on the ebay plattform?...it´s just an idea, when i sit here in the off-season and thinkin´about my future rides i will do this year ;-)

I have found behind my windshield is the best place for lack of wind noise. Lots of cheap[ cams out there. Some are good and some are lousy. I've been using these lately. Had to cut holes in the case for clear sound.

I have a GoPro Hero 4 and a Hero 9, mostly to record my motorcycle rides, snorkeling and riding a kayak. My GoPro's are used, and I purchased them on Ebay. Throughout the years I have purchased so many camera brackets and adapters, it is simply ridiculous. Hahaha

Most action camera motorcycle adapters work for DJI OSMO Action 6/5 Pro, Gopro Hero, OSMO Pocket, and Insta360 cameras. I prefer GoPro's because I've been using them for so long, I feel most comfortable with them. I am trying to avoid learning how to use a different brand.

Not sure if you plan to edit your videos using your phone or a desktop computer. With a laptop you will need video editing software. If using your cellphone then you need to install software apps to do the editing on your phone. My best suggestion to you is to check out YouTube for the brands I listed and go from there before you spend your money.
