I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I have had a very different year with 2 operations and getting my KZ650 ready to ride.
Now I have nearly recovered from the last surgery, I am getting ready to enjoy the New Zealand summer and start enjoying my bike.
A big thank you to all for your wisdom.
Looking forward to posting ride reports in the New Year.
Be safe out there,
Rich.

Braved 6" of snow this morning to drop off a bottle of Xmas cheer for my boring and porting guy. I have known Mike for 30 years, he is the guy on the injector side of his home built Top Fuel bike.
Good to catch up and talk shop for a bit.

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the roost
The turbo was spooling, creating some boost;
The boots they were setting by the garage door with care,
In hopes that St. Nick soon would be there;
But Nick he was nestled all snug in his bed;
While visions of apexes danced in his head;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap,
When out on the road there arose such a clatter,
I thought it was a Ducati because after all, they clatter.
Away on the Turbo I flew like a flash,
Wide open the throttle, no thoughts of road rash.
The moon on the lines of the newly paved road,
Gave a lustre of midday when I reached boost mode,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a Turbocharged Kawasaki, and 120 plus rein-deer,
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles the horses they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"4000, 5000, 6000, 7000 rpm,
8000, 9000, 10000 rpm.”
To the Christmas Tree lights, for the next quarter mile!
I knew that the Turbo would make St. Nick smile"!
But what do you know, as he started to fly,
Then he met with an obstacle, blue lights in the sky;
So off to the side roads the Turbo it flew
It was getting away, and St. Nick too—
And then, in a twinkling, I heard the cop’s siren,
I started to wonder if the chain gang would be hiring.
As I drew in my clutch, and was turning around,
He was riding a Harley, all 800 pounds.
He was dressed all in blue, from his head to his foot,
And his badge was all polished my point would be moot;
A bundle of tickets sure made me feel sick,
I knew if caught me they would go to St. Nick.
So I sprang to my Turbo, to my throttle, gave a twist,
And away my bike flew, it was much much too quick.
But he heard me exclaim, as I rode out of sight—
“You may catch me one day, but it won’t be tonight!
Merry Christmas Everyone
