Wow! That's a rough piece.

You'll need a big can of Acetone. Both to clean stuff & wipe down piece after sanding. That may help soften up glue, also.

For all that work it might be cheaper to score one off Ebay or a local boat yard. Materials to do that extensive of a glass job (enough to make it sturdy enough not to crack again soon) are going to be pricey.

Good luck! & wear long sleeves/gloves...that stuff is VERY ichy when sanding (talcum powder on all exposed areas before you sand is an old surfer's trick for glass work.)

I wish scoring one off ebay would work, but the county does not have the money.

Thank you for the poweder tip, will give it a try this weekend when I head to the shop.

And dont forget the latex gloves (dont ask how I know).
The talcum powder is a great tip.....gonna file that away in me "brain-housing group".
