Thanks for the info Gringo. That seat is what I'm looking for. Did you have the whole bike there when they made that one for you? AWESOME bike, by the way!

One other thought I used to run a Kawasaki dealership back in the 80's and there was a guy named Lee who worked for a place called Rayco in Brookpark who would do seats for us occasionally. You might try calling Rayco and see if he is still around. I think his last name was Sanderson but I can't say 100% since it has been like 20 yrs.

How in the world do you guys stand looking at those seats? Ick. I'd have to be Stevie Wonder to have one of them. I suppose comfort comes before looks, that's the understatement of the year.
Those seats are very comfortable compared to the "ironing board" seats most KZ's came stock with.
It beats the heck out of trying to unkink your back and rubbing your butt awake for half an hour after a long ride on a bike with an OEM saddle.
As far as the looks go, I personally like the way they look. While the rider of a cruiser, chopper, touring bike, or 100% original bike might not see the beauty in a Corbin or similar seat, a rider who's spent many hours hitting the twisties see them as functional art.
To each their own (see my sig line).

Ron I think you must be Stevie Wonder or maybe Ronnie Milsap. How in the world can you look at that bike and make a comment like "Ick"? The craftsmanship is superb any place on the bike you look. For someone to fork over 11 grand plus pay to ship the bike from Seattle to Australia should tell you something. As to form Vs. function you should be aware that this bike was putting out something like 110 RWHP on a dyno, so IMHO having a pocket to hold your but where it belongs is quite practical. I've seen your bikes, and they are very nice but dude give credit where credit is due.

I have a gunfighter on my Z1, and a friend of mine that does seats on the side said he can do seats like that if wanted. Only problem is it take a while to get done since it's not his full time job.
Can get you a quote if interested.

Yea, if he can make it look like a gunfighter, I'd be interested in a price. Do you have any pictures of his work?

Wow, I think they look great and function much better than stock. To each his own I guess.
