Nothing like fresh clearcoat!
I'm working on a set of parts, ready to wet sand, but 64 yr. old arthritic hands are not looking forward to it! But I will! 
 Beer and pain meds help!
Nice quality high build urethane primer, have the 2 metal fenders in the garage curing.
I love painting, as I wrote in the past, it's a Zen thing, you get into the zone, tune everything out, crank up the music! And after you lay that last layer of clear coat on! Come back in after it sets up and stare at the virgin clear, nothing has touched it yet!
Something only a painter knows!
Chime in Ralph! You know what I mean!

This Honda is Very Nice! This build reminds me of a "PUPPET" RaceVisions build! Clean, Lean and Mean! Put a Kaw  Z engine on that and give it to me!

That's a sweet Z1R.  It looks like it just rolled out of the showroom.

What did it run?  What records did you set?

That's a sweet Z1R.  It looks like it just rolled out of the showroom.

What did it run?  What records did you set?



It has to run in 1350cc Production Blown class, it went 131 in 2014 to set an AMA record with pinched ring lands.  It went 147 at the Ohio Mike in 2015 to set the ECTA record and that was 162 on the speedo.

Made a little progress on the bike.  Purchased a repro fender and grab bar and just installed it with the "freshly painted" duck tail.

Finally had tire mounted to spoked wheel, installed new bearings, seals and also rebuilt caliper and master cylinder. New front brake lines from Z1 Spares in Australia.  Thank you to Mikaw who helped me get the lower fork tubes vaper blasted and put back together as well.
