Hi z1kzonly, well spotted. Its a bit of a mongel. When I rebuilt my original b1 I thought I would need some spares so I bought a donor bike from the US. I actually only used the airbox from it so had 99% of a bike I didn't need. Over the years I have collected loads of bits and pieces, as we all do, so I thought I wou,d build the bike I wanted back in the 70's. Apart from tires and suspension it is all period.
The wheels are CMA race mags from a 74 Z1. They are fairly rare as the guy who made them back then died when repairing a one. Welding gear and magnesium are not good bed companions. It's also got Raask rearsets, micron brace, damper, progressive springs, Guilari seat, tail tidy, stainless exhaust and a host of engine mods with comp of 220 psi to name the major mods. It's one of those bikes thats never actually finished and gets tinkered with every winter.
