Have any of you replaced the faces on your speedometer or tach? Mine are getting pretty faded. I can't seem to find much info on replacing them. Maybe it's not something people usually do.

One of mine was craked so I took the other to a glass shop and had a couple of new ones cut to the right size. Easy peasy.

Is this for the 550 Zephyr? If so, the meters should be easy to open, but I have no idea if new faces are available.

I got two new ones on eBay. The toughest part is getting the needles off. I broke two spindles by prying up so now I twist them off.

The top of the spindle is the thickness of a paperclip. That's the part that broke off on two of them. I had good luck before but those two were ruined beyond repair.

Yes. Good to know it's pretty easy/common with other bikes. Need to find decals for my zr550, if they exist.

Am guessing that other models might have the same or acceptably similar instrument face decals.

If not already done, would inquire of Diablo Cycle (owned and operated by the people at Reproduction Decals) and/or Reproduction Decals.

E-mail: sales@reproductiondecals.com or sales@diablocycle.com • Tel: 519 668-7152

Fax: 519 690-0774

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI bought the actual face plates. You might try these folks to see if they have one for your bike. There are others as well.
