The fairing is for a 7" headlight, NOT a 7" headlight opening. Therefore, the actual opening for the 7" headlight is 8".kzdcw wrote: I'm also looking at that style of fairing for my 77' KZ1000A too as well as the Venom by Emgo. Emgo says the fairing is for 7" headlights. My KZ has the stock headlight and bucket/ring assembly. Measure the assembly across and measures 7 5/8". Is the headlight opening in the fairing at least this measurement so that the headlight assembly on my KZ will pass thru ?
I'm using an aftermarket front master cylinder for dual disc front brakes that has a flat cap held on by 2 screws. It's probably about 1" shorter in height than the stock master. Do you think this fairing would work?

They are mounted to the headlight bucket bolts. The signals are back about 2-3" from that point and there is usually just enough clearance.kzdcw wrote: From the look of your pictures on the 2 side mount screws/bolts of the fairing to the fork tube covers, are they mounted to where the stock turn signals would [have] been ? The stock fork ears have a hole where the signals would been mounted to.
