anything can be made to fit. there is nothing about those 2 tanks that lead me to believe they are a direct swap. take yours off turn it upside down and compare it with the tunnel on the one you want to purchase then compare length width etc... allot of altering goes into mounting points either on bice or on tanks to make the incorrect tank fit such as a simple rake in frame can change the mounting point on the correct tank so I am sure a different tank will take similar inganuity

I suspect that you haven't received any answers because no one has swapped out an 'LTD' style tank for a 1100 A model tank. One issue that you'll run into is that these 1000/1100 style tanks that are a bit more 'boxy/angular' e.g. 1100 Standard, early GPz1100, and ELR/SBR tanks, are longer than the smaller LTD style tanks...and long enough that the seat also has to be shortened or moved rearward when using this replacement tank. I do not have access to a 1100 A tank, as you pictured, but I do have standard 1000A series tanks, 1000B (LTD) series tanks, GPZ1100 tanks and GPZ750 tanks...but these won't answer your questions.

Thanks for the replies guys. Hopefully it'll get the ball rolling. The hardest thing about it is that i don't have a model a tank i can measure and haven't been able to find dimensions of one. Based on the pictures of the bottom of the 1100A tanks, they look really close. And i would assume that the frame of the LTD and A, B C models isnt very different in the front except that the ltd has a longer subframe and swingarm. I got pictures of both undersides below:

That square tank is from a KZ1100A and should fit in the tank mounts on your bike, the only issue is how the seat fits with it.

After looking at what you've already done to the bike I guess moving things around won't be a issue.
