Stain removal on aluminum fork body was created by BornAgainBiker
Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to remove a stain from the aluminum of a fork body? It looks like it was left behind by a sticker or something like that. Here's a photo of the mark:

I've had good luck using ( Never Dull ) which is a cotton wad soaked in a special chemical for cleaning aluminum , & after you get the color uniform, then use Mothers polish to bring out the shine, they can both be found at any autoparts store

The varnish is a bear to get through. I had to sand my 40 year old fork legs then so with finer and finer steel wool. I never finish polished them. I will before I clear coat them with clear engine paint.
