Thought of that but it'd be nice to able to just throw loose items in there as well without worrying about where they might end up. My old Beamers had a tray under the seat that held quite a few things, for a motorcycle.martin_csr wrote: Maybe you could use a canvas or nylon tool bag or something of that nature & get a camping dry bag to make sure nothing gets wet. ???

There is a tool tray behind the battery too, these often go missing.

Here's a storage case. In one of the photos it shows a couple of oem part number labels, but those are not for the case.

I wonder if that eBay box would fit. I'd still have to rig something so it just wasn't bouncing around.

But it won't fit, last thing you want is it rattling around. I managed to find a zip up canvas bag exactly the right size and shape for mine.
Best would be try a 1100R 1000R even 1000J tray, but they are super rare, if anyone has one spare I'll buy it. The tail panel and bits on the r1 are very much the same as the 1100's.
The other document holder fixes under the seat and hold the owner's manual.

A nylon/canvas bag or tool pouch would be the simplest option --- just stuff it in there.

The space between battery and rear fender used to be occupied by an old sock holding bungy straps until I relocated my fusebox there. If you fab something up please post pics
