I wanna paint front forks what to use?

I want to paint the bottom fork tubes on my SR 650, I need to put new dust boots on and im putting a new tire on the front anyways so i figured while i had it apart i would do it but wanted to hear suggestions from people on what type of paint to use. I want more of a gloss not a matte so i would clear coat it if necessary. Im wondering what people think and may have done!

They need powder coat if you are planning riding much. Even the very hard black finish used on the later KZs would get rock pitted pretty quickly. I've never personally had powder coating done, but guys that have done it talk highly of the process.

I've seen it done with plasti-dip paint. Held up surprisingly well and if it goes south just peel it off and try something new.

I used Duplicolor wheel coating (silver). The stuff has a plastic feel to it.
Although there are a few nicks, the paint has held up well & doesn't look bad.

I just polished mine but didn't clear coat them. I'll do it again and use the Duplicolor clear engine paint. Good stuff.

I saw someone do it with truck bed paint/sealor. Looked great and has held up well.
