Rear tail

Hi all, wondering whether anyone has been successful installing a tail assy on a 90s police model? Also, will a CSR seat fit on that model as well? Just looking at my options. Thanks for any assistance that you can provide. Keith

I'm not familiar with your model, but others have added tails to those that did not come with.
Need to find a way to mount it, depending on the chosen seat.
I like how a kz650 seat and tail were added to this Honda GL1000;

And Indykaw's kz1000 with 650 tail;

Both of the above would have had to figure out custom mounting.

I think the KZ650 duck tail looks good on a lot of stuff. It's one of the iconic body parts of the 70's.
Hell, I bet a quad would look good with two of them on the back. :laugh:

Maybe find an old 76-80 1000 frame thats bent and cut the rear subfame off and graft it on to your frame.
Notice I didnt say 73-75 z1 frame, because that would just be wrong in so many ways! :sick: :woohoo:
Still recovering,some days are better than others.

Thanks for the info and pics. Oh yeah, that duck tail is what makes the old KZ's in my opinion. I noticed that even the newest sport bikes still have it. I'll have to chew on which direction I want to head. Hide the police model or wear it proudly. You guys make me want to do more all the time. Love it. Thanks, Keith

I do have a 77' 650 frame that is going to be scrapped I could cut the tail mount from and a tail. Just sayin'. That Goldie does look nice and Indykaw's ride is beautiful.

I concur... get the back end off a scrap bike and mount it on your frame. Up to you to get the angle where you want it...

My frame has no title that's why it will be scrapped.
