Repainting on the cheap, FINALLY tracked down rattle can Candy Blue
My favorite lacquer(duplicolor) was discontinued, the new candy is a urethane.
My base coats are Silver rattle can lacquer. Any compatibility issues
of which I should be aware? ( Really would rather not have to strip, & reshoot now, or , even worse, have it blister, etc later...Thoughts? Any painters out there?

Been many years since I've painted but you don't want to paint lacquer over enamel. You can paint enamel over lacquer though. Best to spray a sealer between coats to seal old paint to be sure though. Hopefully, the pros on here will chime in to help you though...

Not recommended but it will work. Probably can't sand through to repair it at a later date. Adhesion might be an issue when taping/masking. Let the lacquer base silver dry real good before spraying the urethane top coat.
Yes, best to test spray all the products you plan to use on the project, like final clear, on a small part.

Thought I would stick a picture in here...she's coming along nicely...the different types of paint seem to be "stacking up" just fine....Keeping my fingers crossed!!! (Blue is faster, LOL!)
