Don't know if you can tell from the pics of my bike..? But my fenders are painted with a Silver Base coat Clear coat and look awesome!!. Original fenders were rusty,Had an inside connection at paint store,so sandblasted them then sanded them starting with 220 grit ending with 320, used a "Filler Primer" sanded ,prepped that and shot em with the R&M prduct, they turned out great! That was almost 3 years ago.
I think there is a pic in the gallery.
Cheers!

punkrawkcafe wrote: Thanks for the info, your paint job on your bike looks amazing,im sanding my tank right now and getting all those layers off sucks. How many coats did you apply of primer, paint and clear?I was looking at your pictures and I was wondering if you painted your tank too, thats a damn good paint job
Thanks!!
Actually, My cousin and his son helped me a LOT with this project, you should see the pics of the bike when it came out of a barn in Charlotte ,N.C. in 2008!!!!!,Terrible shape! this bike was 3 hard steady years for people working couple nights a week and almost every weekend! :S now.....We used my cousins blast cabinet and blasted both the fenders and outside of tank, we did the sanding, primering and all prep work, luckily for me my cousins son lives next door to a guy who owns a body shop, the man who owns the body shop owed my cousins son a favor so he sprayed the colors and clear coat then a year later ( Many, many coats of paint and clear so we waited because we wanted to be sure it had "Cured" ) we wet sanded everything and buffed it. The Black is very heavily "Flaked" which I like cause in the sun it changes colors. :woohoo: I am sure Black and Silver is probably not many peoples choice of colors, but..... being an old "Curmudgeon" ( 62 ) and kinda like Clint Eastwood, I say I am old and don't give a damn what people think! LOL!
Thanks Again!!
