Which bars for LTD with less pullback?

I'm thinking of trying a different set of bars on my 1977 KZ100LTD. I like the stock look so I dont want something too different. Just looking for a set with a little less of the turned back feel to them.

This is my first bike and I learned on the stock bars so I dont know exactly what I should be looking for. I'm thinking of something with the same height, maybe a little wider but only because of having less kickback.

Am I correct to think that something like that will be more comfortable and have a little more precise feel to them?

Anyone have any recommendations? I'm making an order from Z1 soon and will add a set of bars if they have something.

One thing to be aware of is in 77 Kawasaki ran all the wiring from the switch gear through the handlebars so you need to find bars with the proper holes in them. This sort of limits your choices. Ed's suggestion of bars from an A model is a good one or you could also use bars from a 77 or 78 650 as well.

BMW Med Tall Street bars are a good match if you want to maintain the stock Ltd look. They aren't the greatest at high speeds (65+), but one benefit is that the Fr Br mc will be level. With lower/flatter bars, the mc will be angled.

superbike bars, European, drag, datytona are commonly used.

The wires are already outside the bars. When I got the bike the po had put cafe bars on it. :( I put the stock bars back on it first thing but decided to leave the wires outside instead of try to pull them back thru.

Some non-LTD bars might be what I want.

Look at "superbike" bars, they have a small rise and very small pullback.

I think I like the rise of the stock bars. I like that I can sit up straight on the bike.

Is rise measured from the lowest point of the bars to the highest point? Pullback is from most forward to most reward point on the bars?

Z1E has an LTD set listed with these measurments.....Width 30.5" Rise 5" Pullback 7.5" Center Width 4.5"

They have a Daytona Touring set listed.....Width 29" Rise 4" Pullback 6.5" Center Width 4.75"

The Daytona set sounds close but hard to tell if it has less of that V kickback to them.

European set says.....Width 29.5" Rise 2" Pullback 5.5" Center Width 4.5"

That sounds good too, but how much is the 3" of less rise going to be? Is that going to put me hunched over while riding?

Really at only $15 per set I could probably try a few sets. B)
