Just finished frame

Hey guys. While struggling with removing the rear wheel bearings, I decided to paint the frame.

I used the POR-15 Rust Preventive paint followed by the POR-15 Chassis Paint.

I'm happy with the results so far. supposed to be tough combo for chips, scratches, etc.

Here are a couple of pics:

Next I will put in engine, attach swingarm and rear shocks while still trying to remove rear wheel bearings.

Thanks guys. Can't wait to finish her up.

wireman - Tell me about it! I had a buddy of mine over to help with the bike one day. He is a welder and couldn't believe the job they did on that steering head. Pretty messed up.

Then had a little free time to attach swingarm, shocks, and triple tree today. I will be putting forks on tonight when I get a chance.

Is that a gloss black or like a shiney matte black. Looks like it is not quite a gloss sheen.

It's more like a shiny matte black. The rust preventive paint was gloss, but the chassis black spray can stuff came out less glossy.

Looks nice, POR15 is great stuff. I've used it on car floor pans in the past.
