really does suck!!!!!

Just putting the clear coat on the KZ900 tank.. F'ed up the tail and will have to redo it..oo well Stand by and I will post a few pics to share...

Ok, here we go.. sorry for the dark picks, will have to get some better ones.







Came out pretty good, had a couple of small bleads which I assume was just me not getting the tape down good, or maybe having it on to lone. Not sure..

What tape are you guys using to cut lines etc?

Yea and I knew better!!! had a spec settle in the primer and I tried to remove it.. (dumb ass!).. Waiting for my new side cover to come in, so I paint the tail then as well.

Wow thats beautiful man!

i use the blue/purple 3M vinyl tape dont have many bleed throughs except when i dont pay attention but then again I havent done that many

Thanks man... Appreciate it! Now that I look at it, it kinda reminds me of a Tuxedo.. LOL

I had to mix it up a little bit, so I didn't get wacked (this is for your josh).. LOL

Kinda was going for the retro 69 Camaro Strips...

25 years ago I had a 72 chevelle I had spent a month getting ready to paint
pulled it in the garage sprayed the floors down while I was mixing mixing the paint one of the old men walked over said hey there is a spot on the hood I told him yaeh I know and before I could say dont touch it he had a piece of 120
grit wrapped around his finger diggin into the primer. my first full paint job had a bad spot in the hood til I sold it

Cool, I cant tell from the picture but is that blue metal flake? I hear that is hard to paint. That should really shine out in the sun. Looks great man.

Holy shit.. I would of freaked!!! Reminds me of the time I walk out and see my sisters boy friend washer her BRAND NEW Grand Am.. taking a bug off the center of the hood with a Brillo Pad!!!

Yeah, prep, painting, cure time, wet sanding., clear coat, wet sanding, rubbing compound, buff etc... is a pain but sonsofabitch is it worth it once completed. ;)
