Scored a Don Vesco Rabid Transit Fairing

I'm feeling very smuggly satisfied. I just purchased a Don Vesco Rabid Transit classic Fairing from a guy about 90miles north of me. Its in pretty good shape, just needs a bracket to mount once I figure where it's going. Worth the ride in the rain and wind today. Just had to chorrtle my good fortune. Thinks it's going on the 'Wing if I can find a mount. The Kawi is too pretty as a naked bike.

This is why I like KZR...you can learn something new every day. I have never seen one of those fairings. Thanks for the post.

so i thought about the pics of this fairing on the beemers all night long.

but i have been having beemer lust for awhile so that is not "new".

but i got to thinking, hmm goldwings are kinda beemeresque (flat engine layout, shaft drive).

and i have been thinking about a long distance vintage touring rig for awhile.

so i think that this fairing and some removable hard bags on either a

1) kz1000/1100 shaft drive.

2) bmw r90/100

3) goldwing

all late seventies to early eighties vintage.

i could be content with any of those.

thanks for bringing that fairing to my attention.

show us some pics of whatever you install it on.

Leon, Some old Krauser hard bags would look good. It's backwards I know but 1st I got the fairing, now I have to find or fix the motorcycle. Know what you mean about the Beemers, they look great with the Don Vesco fairings mounted on them. They make me droll too. In fact it was sold off a Beemer so I was told. I had one of these fairings years ago when I rode a GS750, let it get away and have been wanting one since.

+1

Nice looking fairing. I imagine that would look really good on just about any of our old kz's, and maybe even some newer bikes too. :)

I rode an early 80's bmw once...couldn't get used to my boots being jammed into the carbs. Didn't care for it. Throw me one from the mid->early 70's and I'd probably take it, but I love the sitting position on the Kz a million times better.

Never heard of these Rabid Transit fairings before.
Kind of reminds me of Hannigan fairings.
They were used on BMWs too.
